LIC paper leak: Delhi Police submit report

The Crime Branch of the Delhi Police on Monday handed over a report to Education Consultants India Limited regarding the leaked question papers for a coveted post in the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India.

Pawan Kumar, 33, an unsuccessful civil services aspirant and five other persons, including four examinees, were arrested for procuring and using leaked question papers.

The police suspect an outsider's involvement in the leak.

"It was a well protected document. We are investigating if anyone from inside is involved," said a senior police officer.

However, senior LIC officials say, they have till now not taken any decision of scrapping the entrance test.

"We will wait for the police report," said a senior LIC official requesting anonymity, as he is not authorised to speak to the media.
