The main accused in the gangrape of a married woman in a moving car in the Narela area of northwest Delhi was arrested on Tuesday, three days after the incident, police said.
Vikram, 22, was caught in Narela itself, police said.
"After searching for two days, the main accused was arrested this morning. Vikram was nabbed when he was preparing to get out of the capital," said police.
On December 31, he and two of his friends allegedly raped the woman in a moving car. Vikram is an acquaintance of her husband. The victim was going to a market to buy vegetables when the three men approached her and offered a lift in their car.
While the other accused, Sushil and Naresh, were arrested Sunday, Vikram was absconding.
The shocking incident was the fourth gang rape case in a moving car in the capital last year. In 2005, Delhi recorded over 500 rape cases.
