A gang of four looters allegedly blindfolded, beat and robbed an employee of a private company on the Gurgaon-Badarpur road late on Friday night. The victim, Pramod Sharma (37), was robbed of his mobile, cash and other items before he was thrown out of the vehicle in Faridabad last night.
Sharma lives in Badarpur area and works for a private company in Manesar.
“My brother boarded a cab around 8pm at Iffco chowk in Gurgaon on Friday. Soon after he boarded the cab, he was blindfolded with a cloth, beaten mercilessly and his mobile, two pen drives, and cash worth Rs 1,000 looted,” said Subodh Kumar, Sharma’s brother.
“The gang of four also forced him to withdraw cash the remaining Rs 400 in his account from an HDFC ATM in Gurgaon,” he said.
“The four member gang later threw my brother in Neelam Bata area in Faridabad around 11pm on Friday,” Subodh said. He also said that the gang gave Sharma R20 using which he boarded a bus for Badarpur where he lives and narrated the incident to his relatives.
“The company officials of Meenakshi Polymer Paper Pvt limited were informed. They lodged a report with the Manesar police and Gurgaon Sadar,” Subodh said.
Subodh further said that Pramod had suffered injuries on his chest.
