Even as authorities are busy in striking a deal with farmers to end the Noida Extension impasse, worried homebuyers are joining hands for a collective fight.
More and more buyers, who have invested their hard-earned money in various residential projects, are becoming members of the Noida Extension Flat Buyers Welfare Association (NEFBWA) to safeguard their interest.
"We have to strike unitedly as one can not bear the legal expense alone. Moreover, court too would think of impact of large number of buyers before taking any decision," Swarup Choudhary, one of the investors, said on Saturday at Noida Extension crossing. Like him, around 20 buyers were seen visiting the area and inquiring about the association.
"Our membership has swelled to over 8000 now," NEFBWA president RP Tyagi said.
"So far we have filed several petitions in the Allahabad High Court. It was outcome of our petitions that the court granted the authority time for an out-of-court settlement," said SD Singh, legal advisor, NEFBWA.
