Muggy day in Delhi, rains likely Monday

High humidity and partly cloudy skies made for a muggy day for Delhiites on Sunday, with maximum temperature settling at 34.2 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the year.

High humidity and partly cloudy skies made for a muggy day for Delhiites on Sunday, with maximum temperature settling at 34.2 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the year. Parts of the city received light showers. The humidity levels wavered between a high of 92 and a low of 64%, an official of Met Department said.

"The minimum temperature was a notch below average at 26.2 degrees Celsius," the official added. The Met office says, the week may begin on a wet note Monday with a possibility of thundershowers in some parts of the city.

"The city could receive one or two spells of heavy rainfall," the IMD official said.

The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 33 and 26 degrees Celsius respectively.
