JD(S) leader H D Deve Gowda, a key 'Third Front' constituent, has said he has no "intention" to serve another term as Prime Minister. "Somehow, I have no such inclination (towards becoming PM)," Gowda said in reply to a question. "I have no such intention because I have seen the office of the PM, how things develop in North India," the former Prime Minister said in an interview to NDTV.

"Mayawati in all her fairness has said the question of Prime Minister will be taken after elections. There must be a consensus decision after the elections are over when secular leaders sit together," he said. Gowda whose party is a key constituent of the Third Front claimed that the fortunes of the Congress and the BJP are on the wane.

"Both Congress and BJP are going down and this is reflected in the way they are attacking each other," he said. "They are so much frustrated that they are attacking each other below the belt. It is unimaginable they are going so low to attack each other," he said.
