Bureaucrats going on study tours will now have to share their experience papers with the aam aadmi.
The centre on Monday re-launched its website, www.performance.gov.in, to provide details about functioning of different ministries.
The site will also include study papers of civil servants when they undertake training programmes in domestic institutes or foreign soils.
"This will also allow the people to see what the bureaucrats have achieved during their training programmes and how it may help in governance. This will also act as an additional scanner on the bureaucracy to deliver substantial outcome," said a senior official.
Cabinet secretary Ajit Seth inaugurated the website on Monday that aims to be a 'one stop shop' for people to see the performance of all ministries.
Apart from providing all information related to the ministries, it will also allow any person to check, with the click of a mouse, the targets and the outcomes of the government departments.
It will also show how they have fared in addressing the grievances of consumers.
With elections due in less than a year, the government—struggling to overcome the corruption stint is on an overdrive to bring more transparency in the system. More initiatives are set to come in coming weeks, claimed officials.
