As he launched the third phase of his party’s election campaign in Sitapur, UP, Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi on Monday attacked UP chief minister Mayawati for “belatedly” dropping four tainted ministers.

Gandhi said the ministers —Rakesh Dhar Tripathi, Rajpal Tyagi, Audhesh Kumar Verma and Hariom Upadhaya—were under the CBI lens. “Four ministers were dropped only yesterday (Sunday). A minister is in the CBI net,” Gandhi asked, hinting at the alleged involvement of two ministers in corruption cases.
