Taking strong exception to non-compliance of its orders, a city court has ordered the DCP South district to initiate action against a woman official for not submitting the probe report in a dowry case despite specific orders, reports Sumit Saxena.

Taking strong exception to non-compliance of its orders, a city court has ordered the DCP South district to initiate action against a woman official for not submitting the probe report in a dowry case despite specific orders.
Summoning the SHO RK Puram along with sub-inspector Asha Sinha, metropolitan magistrate SPS Laler said :“(A) copy of the order be sent to ACP concerned for taking appropriate action against the delinquent official, under intimation to court. A copy to be also sent to DCP concerned for reference and appropriate action.”
Satish Kumar (name changed), an architect residing in Dwarka got married to Sarita (name changed) in February 2007. He alleged his wife had filed a false dowry case against him.
In an order passed in October 2008, the court had directed the SHO to make inquiries whether the woman’s family gave any dowry articles/cash to Kumar without demand or on demand.
