The Opposition forced adjournment of Rajya Sabha till Monday keeping up the pressure on the government for a Parliamentary probe into the 2G Spectrum allocation.
The pandemonium in the Upper House continued for the 11th working day and no substantial business could be transacted since the winter session began on November 9.
After two adjournments in the pre-lunch sitting, the House was adjourned for the day at 2:30 pm when it was scheduled to take up private members' bills.
The House saw a brief spell of calm in the morning when a statement paying tributes to the 26/11 victims was read out by Chairman Hamid Ansari. The House also mourned the death of 391 people in a stampede in Cambodia.
Every time the House met, Opposition members including members from BJP and AIADMK trooped into the well and shouted slogans in support of their demand for JPC.
