Student stabs classmate in school premises
A 16-year-old student of Class 11 was attacked by his classmate with a sharp object on Monday afternoon after an altercation.

The boy, who studies in a government school in northwest Delhi’s Keshavpuram, suffered stab wounds and was rushed to a nearby hospital.
The incident happened within the school premises.
The victim was taken to the Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital in Jahangirpuri, where his condition was stated to be stable, police said. His statement has also been recorded in which he mentioned that his classmate attacked him due to personal enmity.
The student who attacked the 16-year-old has been apprehended and produced before the Juvenile Justice Board. The board then sent him to an observation home, police said.
A senior police officer said the incident came to light after the school authorities lodged a call with the police control room in the afternoon. A police team reached the school and learnt that the victim had been taken to the hospital for medical attention.
During investigation, it was learnt that the boy who attacked the victim had had a scuffle with another student in the school last week.
At that time, the victim had interfered and defended the other student. Since then, the boy had harboured a grudge against him and was looking to take revenge.
On Monday afternoon, the two boys had a heated argument yet again in the school. The spat led to a scuffle which ended up in the 16-year-old getting stabbed by his classmate.
Due to the commotion, the other students raised an alarm after which the accused boy fled.
