Dentist couple Rajesh and Nupur, facing trial for the alleged murder of their daughter Aarushi Talwar and domestic help Hemraj, on Friday moved the Supreme Court with their plea to summon 14 witnesses including ADG (Law and Order) Uttar Pradesh Arun Kumar, who had been dropped by the CBI as prosecution witnesses.

Talwars have challenged the May 21 order of the Allahadbad High Court rejecting their plea. The couple's appeal was mentioned before a vacation bench headed by Justice BS Chauhan, which fixed May 28 to hear the plea.

Kumar was the supervising officer of CBI's first team that had taken over the double-murder case's investigation from the UP police. It had given a clean chit to the dentist couple.
