The Noida woman who was gang-raped with her daughter on national highway 91 in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr, is determined to get the culprits punished.
Narrating the incident, she said she saw one bulky and another short robber actively directing others during the night of horror in the fields along NH-91.
“They had already overpowered the men of our family. We were held captive. The robbers took out safety pins tucked to our clothes and pierced us. We were helpless as they were armed and had overpowered us..,” she said.
The family said the robbers beat them up with sticks, rods and a hammer whenever anyone tried to speak or move.
“They did not listen as we pleaded. Four people took the girl to the other side of the field... They beat her up and two of them assaulted her one by one... During the medical examination, the doctor was harsh and told me that case was fake. I told her that no one would like to put any member of his or her family in such a situation as we were in,” she said.
The horror continued with the family for over two hours till the robbers left. One member then managed to free himself and set the others free.
The family says the accused should be brought to book at the earliest.
“We need justice first. Any compensation or anything else is a later part. The women from our family have stood firm and identified Raees, Jabar Singh and Shavez and got them arrested. We got two cheques of `50,000 each for the mother and the girl. We are awaiting the arrest of the remaining accused. We heard that the UP chief minister will come to Ghaziabad to meet us. We still don’t know about the programme,” the girl’s uncle said.
Akhilesh Yadav is likely to inaugurate the Ala Hazrat Haj House in Ghaziabad on August 4. Ghaziabad district magistrate, Nidhi Kesarwani, however said the CM’s programme stands postponed.
“There has been no new date as yet. The programme on August 4 is postponed,” she said.
“The girl is still in trauma and is worried about her future prospects as she wanted to go for civil services... We may change her school now as people know about the incident and the family here,” the uncle, who was held captive during the incident, said.
The UP police, who arrested three suspects on Sunday, have failed to arrest the other accused. Sources said police teams were trying to locate members of the Salim Bawaria gang in connection with the case.
