Trucks hit barrier at igia, 2 cops injured

Two Delhi Police personnel were injured, after two trucks collided with a traffic barrier near Terminal 3 of the Indira Gandhi International Airport on Thursday.

The errant truck drivers sped past soon after the incident took place. Two employees of the Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) informed the PCR van at Terminal 3 about it. The policemen rushed to the help of the victims, while a DIAL team launched a search for the truck drivers, a DIAL spokesman said.

"One truck was spotted near the petrol pump towards Terminal 2," he said.

"An autorickshaw driver came to our help. He parked his vehicle and blocked the truck's way, but the truck driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the spot. The police has admitted the injured policemen to a nearby hospital," he added.
