Ja Young Lee came to Delhi from Korea four years ago to set up a beauty centre in Green Park. The idea, she says, was to cater to the city’s burgeoning Korean community. But six years down the line, Hera, her unisex beauty centre, has dedicated Indian clients too.

“While 70% of my clients are Japanese and Koreans, the others are Indians who want to get a Korean and Japanese hair style. While both my Korean and Indian clients are very fussy, at times there is misunderstanding as to what my Indian clients want because of language problems,” says Lee , whose beauty centre provides services such as haircuts, Thai and Chinese massage, face massage and nail art.

* The beauty centre boasts of hundreds of Korean books and magazines on hair styling and fashion for waiting customers. It attracts Korean clients from as far as Gurgaon and Noida. While Lee does not draw inspiration from Bollywood movies for hairstyles, she is a great fan of Amir Khan’s look in Ghajini.
