The 60 airhostesses hired by the now defunct MDLR Airlines of former Haryana minister Gopal Kanda were made to attend his political rallies in Sirsa and other parts of Haryana and even be present on the dais, the Delhi Police has learnt.
Several airhostesses told the police that attending the rallies was an unwritten rule.
"Kanda's associates would arrange an AC bus and the employees were asked to go to Sirsa. Their food and stay was arranged for," said a senior police officer.
Police are trying to confirm if Geetika Sharma, who named Kanda in her suicide note, went for any rally.
Police have found photographs of airhostesses on the stage in many such rallies.
"We were never told what we were supposed to do there. Some were asked to stand on the stage and others made to sit in the front row," said an ex-employee.
