Violence where Delhi gang-rape juvenile is lodged

Violence was reported at a juvenile home in Majnu ka Tila, where the minor accused in the December 16 Delhi gangrape is being held, after inmates allegedly set fire and threw stones inside the facility.

The inmates at the north Delhi juvenile centre were reportedly protesting against bad food at the facility. They set fire to beddings inside the building.

Also, the inmates resorted to stone pelting at a few of the fire tenders rushed to the juvenile home to curb the fire.

However, no casualties were reported.

The accused minor in the Delhi gangrape case has been lodged at the juvenile home since December 2012.
