Bihar board 12th result 2018: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) announced the intermediate (Class 12) board examination result on June 6.

The result of the intermediate (Class 12) board examination was declared by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) on June 6.

The pass percentage is 52.95, which is 17.71% more than last year. In the arts stream, 63.12% students passed; in science, 44.71% passed and in commerce stream 91.32% students passed.

In all three streams, girls emerged as toppers. NEET topper Kalpana Kumari topped the science stream with 434 marks. In arts, Kusum Kumari from Simultula Jamui topped, and in commerce stream, Nidhi Sinha from RDS College, Muzzafarpur, stood first.

The BSEB Class 12 examination result was earlier scheduled to be announced on June 7. It was advanced to June 6 as the last date for applying to Delhi University colleges is June 7.

The result of the matriculation (Class 10) exams will be announced on June 20.

This year, 17,70,042 students filled the forms for matric exam and 12,80,000 students for the intermediate exams.

To stop students from cheating this year, the Bihar School Examination Board asked students not to wear shoes or socks and enforced several other measures. Candidates were frisked at the entry gate of the exam venue and again after they sat in their allotted seats. They were monitored by video while writing the exam at all centres where extra force and home guards had been deployed.

The pass percentage of matric exam in 2017 was 50.12 as 861,000 candidates out of 17,23,911 had failed. In the intermediate exam, 30.11% science students passed, 32.13% humanities and 73.76% commerce cleared the exam.
