CGBSE Class 10 board results 2017: Girls outshine boys, Chetan Agrawal is the topper

Girls outshone boys in the Class 10 examinations of the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE), the results of which were declared on Friday.
While 62.06% girls passed the class 10 examination, the figure was 59.86% for boys, Chhattisgarh’s school education minister Kedar Kashyap announced.
A total of 3,95,338 students registered for CGBSE high school certificate examination this year but 3,86,349 students, including 2,07,349 girls, of them appeared in the examination. Out of this, 2,35,773 (61.04 %) passed.
With 98.17% Chetan Agrawal of Kiran Public Higher Secondary School Kurud, (Dhamtari district) secured top position followed by Vinita Patel of Saraswati Shishu Mandir Higher Secondary School, Masturi (Bilaspur district) with 97.67%.
Karan Sahu of Government HS School Guma (Raipur), Dewashish Patel of SS Kalibadi School (Raipur) and Aman Kumar of Mohit HS School Katekoni Khurd (Janjgir-Champa) bagged third position with 97.33 %.
Chhattisgarh governor Balramji Das Tandon and chief minister Raman Singh have congratulated and extended warm wishes to meritorious students of 10th board exams.
