The committee members held a day-long meeting with subject experts to give final shape to the course structure for around 80 courses. “Some of the syllabi were finalised in Monday’s meeting with experts. We will be finalising the syllabi for the other subjects in a day or two and will submit a final report to UGC,” said a source who attended the meeting.

The UGC had recently announced that universities would be free to change 30% of the model syllabus set by UGC instead of the earlier 20%. The UGC had also uploaded model syllabi for around 18 subjects on its website asking stakeholders to give their feedback.
