Bharatiya Janata Party's Dabhi Bharatsinhji Shankarji won the election upstaging independent candidate Desai Mukeshkumar Moghjibhai by a margin of 21,415 votes.
The top three candidates split 96.3% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Dabhi Bharatsinhji Shankarji got a total of 59,847 votes, while independent candidate Desai Mukeshkumar Moghjibhai secured 38,432 votes. Indian National Congress's candidate Thakor Ramjibhai Sonaji grabbed the third spot with 38,254 votes. The top three parties got 42.2%, 27.1% and 27.0% respectively.
