It was a one way contest with Bharatiya Janata Party's Inamdar Ketanbhai Mahendrabhai comfortably winning the election defeating Indian National Congress's Brahmbhatt Sagar Prakash Koko by a huge margin of 41,633 votes.
The top two candidates split 95.5% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Inamdar Ketanbhai Mahendrabhai got a total of 97,646 votes, while Indian National Congress's Brahmbhatt Sagar Prakash Koko secured 56,013 votes. Nationalist Congress Party's candidate Chauhan Khumansinh Raysinh secured 4,060 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 60.7%, 34.8% and 2.5% respectively.
