Punjab Election: Jandiala Assembly Constituency 2022

Jandiala comes under the Amritsar district and it is one of the 117 Punjab Legislative Assembly Constituencies . People of Jandiala voted for Punjab Assembly Election 2022 on February 20 and the result was declared on March 10.

In 2017, the Jandiala assembly seat had 1,69,611 registered voters. Of the, 91,011 were male and 78,600 were female voters. 0.5% of votes were casted for NOTA.

What happened last time

In 2017, 8 candidates were contesting for Jandiala assembly constituency seat. Jandiala was one of 77 seats won by the Indian National Congress. Indian National Congress's Sukhwinder Singh Danny Bandala won the election by defeating Shiromani Akali Dal's Dalbir Singh by a margin of 18,422 votes.

The top three candidates split 97.4% of votes between them. Indian National Congress's Sukhwinder Singh Danny Bandala got a total of 53,042 votes, while Shiromani Akali Dal's Dalbir Singh secured 34,620 votes. Aam Aadmi Party's candidate Harbhajan Singh E. T. O. grabbed the third spot with 33,912 votes. The top three parties got 42.5%, 27.7% and 27.2% respectively.

In Punjab Assembly election 2012, Shiromani Akali Dal's Baljit Singh Jalal Usma defeated Indian National Congress's Sardul Singh Bandala by 7,290 votes.
