Purqazi comes under the Muzaffarnagar district and it is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . People of Purqazi voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on February 10 and the result was declared on March 10.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2017, there were 3,13,951 registered voters for Purqazi assembly seat, out of which 1,72,128 were male and 1,41,823 were female voters. 0.4% of voters opted for for the None of the Above (NOTA) option.
In the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election 2017, Purqazi constituency had 10 candidates for assembly seat contention. Purqazi was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Pramod Utwal won the election by upstaging Indian National Congress's Deepak Kumar by a margin of 11,253 votes.
93.6% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Pramod Utwal grabbed a total of 77,491 votes, while Indian National Congress's Deepak Kumar got 66,238 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Anil Kumar bagged 46,401 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 38.1%, 32.6% and 22.8% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Bahujan Samaj Party's Anil Kumar beat Indian National Congress's Deepak Kumar by 8,560 votes.
