Didihat is the assembly constituency which comes under the Pithoragarh district. It is one of the 70 Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly Constituencies . Uttarakhand Assembly Election 2022 for Didihat was held on February 14 and the result was declared on March 10.
Didihat assembly constituency had 83,872 electors in 2017, out of which 41,413 were male voters and 42,459 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.9% votes.

It was a close contest with Bharatiya Janata Party's Vishan Singh winning the election upstaging independent candidate Kishan Bhandari by a margin of just 2,368 votes.
92.1% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Vishan Singh grabbed a total of 17,392 votes, while independent candidate Kishan Bhandari got 15,024 votes. Indian National Congress's candidate Pradeep Singh Pal bagged 14,470 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 34.1%, 29.5% and 28.4% respectively.
In Uttarakhand Assembly election 2012, Bharatiya Janata Party's Bishan Singh Chuphal outperformed Indian National Congress's Rewati Joshi by 10,617 votes.
