Uttarakhand Election: Doiwala Assembly Constituency 2022
Doiwala comes under the Dehradun district and it is one of the 70 Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly Constituencies . People of Doiwala voted for Uttarakhand Assembly Election 2022 on February 14 and the result was declared on March 10.
Doiwala assembly constituency had 1,42,455 electors in 2017, out of which 73,981 were male voters and 68,474 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.7% votes.
In 2017, 11 candidates were competing for Doiwala assembly constituency seat. Doiwala was one of 57 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. It was a one way contest with Bharatiya Janata Party's Trivendra Singh Rawat comfortably winning the election defeating Indian National Congress's Hira Singh Bisht by a huge margin of 24,869 votes.
96.2% of the total votes were casted to top two candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Trivendra Singh Rawat got a total of 58,502 votes, while Indian National Congress's Hira Singh Bisht got 33,633 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate A.Hameed grabbed 1,569 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties secured 61.1%, 35.1% and 1.6% respectively.
In Uttarakhand Assembly election 2012, Bharatiya Janata Party's Ramesh PokhriyalNishank outperformed Indian National Congress's Heera Singh Bisht by 1,272 votes.
