Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Jarnail Singh (KALI) grabbed the third spot with 26,115 votes. The top three parties got 42.7%, 28.2% and 26.8% respectively.
In Uttarakhand Assembly election 2012, Bharatiya Janata Party's Arvind Pande beat independent candidate Jarnail Singh by 5,133 votes.
