Uttarakhand Election: Jhabrera Assembly Constituency 2022

Jhabrera is one of the 70 Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Hardwar district. Uttarakhand Assembly Election 2022 for Jhabrera will be held on February 14 and the results will be declared on March 10.

In 2017, the Jhabrera assembly seat had 1,10,669 registered voters. Of the, 60,005 were male and 50,664 were female voters. 0.3% of votes were casted for NOTA.

What happened last time

In the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly Election 2017, Jhabrera constituency had 10 candidates for assembly seat contention. Jhabrera was one of 57 seats won by the Bharatiya Janta Party. It was a close contest with Bharatiya Janta Party's Desraj Karanwal winning the election upstaging Indian National Congress's Rajpal Singh by a margin of just 2,253 votes.

The top three candidates split 98.2% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janta Party's Desraj Karanwal got a total of 32,146 votes, while Indian National Congress's Rajpal Singh secured 29,893 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Bhagavat Singh grabbed the third spot with 20,468 votes. The top three parties got 38.2%, 35.6% and 24.4% respectively.

In Uttarakhand Assembly election 2012, Bahujan Samaj Party's Hari Dass beat Indian National Congress's Rajpal by 3,809 votes.
