Uttarakhand Election: Lalkuwa Assembly Constituency 2022
Lalkuwa comes under the Nainital district and it is one of the 70 Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly Constituencies . People of Lalkuwa voted for Uttarakhand Assembly Election 2022 on February 14 and the result was declared on March 10.
In 2017, the Lalkuwa assembly seat had 1,11,700 registered voters. Of the, 59,245 were male and 52,455 were female voters. 1.1% of votes were casted for NOTA.
In 2017, 10 candidates were competing for Lalkuwa assembly constituency seat. Lalkuwa was one of 57 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. It was a one way contest with Bharatiya Janata Party's Naveen Chandra Dumka comfortably winning the election defeating Indian National Congress's Harish Chandra Durgapal by a huge margin of 27,108 votes.
95.7% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Naveen Chandra Dumka got a total of 44,293 votes, while Indian National Congress's Harish Chandra Durgapal secured 17,185 votes. Independent candidate Harendra Singh Bora grabbed the third spot with 14,709 votes. The top three parties got 55.6%, 21.6% and 18.5% respectively.
In Uttarakhand Assembly election 2012, Independent candidate Harish ChandraDurgapal beat Bharatiya Janata Party's Nawin Chandra Dumka by 8,848 votes.
