Uttarakhand Election: Narendranagar Assembly Constituency 2022

Narendranagar is the assembly constituency which comes under the Tehri Garhwal district. It is one of the 70 Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly Constituencies . Uttarakhand Assembly Election 2022 for Narendranagar was held on February 14 and the result was declared on March 10.

Narendranagar assembly constituency had 84,438 electors in 2017, out of which 44,737 were male voters and 39,701 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.7% votes.

What happened last time

In the 2017 Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly Election, there were 7 candidates in the fray from Narendranagar constituency. Narendranagar was one of 57 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Subodh Uniyal won the election upstaging independent candidate Om Gopal Rawat by a margin of 4,972 votes.

83.2% of the total votes were casted to top two candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Subodh Uniyal got a total of 24,104 votes, while independent candidate Om Gopal Rawat got 19,132 votes. Indian National Congress's candidate Himanshu Bijalwan grabbed 4,328 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties secured 46.4%, 36.8% and 8.3% respectively.

In Uttarakhand Assembly election 2012, Indian National Congress's Subodh Uniyal defeated Bharatiya Janata Party's Om Gopal Rawat by 401 votes.
