Uttarakhand Election: Yamunotri Assembly Constituency 2022

Yamunotri is one of the 70 Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Uttarkashi district. Uttarakhand Assembly Election 2022 for Yamunotri was held on February 14 and the result was declared on March 10.

In 2017, the Yamunotri assembly seat had 70,051 registered voters. Of the, 36,139 were male and 33,912 were female voters. 0.6% of votes were casted for NOTA.

In 2017, 8 candidates were contesting for Yamunotri assembly constituency seat. Yamunotri was one of 57 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Kedar Singh won the election by defeating Indian National Congress's Sanjay Dobhal by a margin of 5,960 votes.

87.2% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Kedar Singh got a total of 19,800 votes, while Indian National Congress's Sanjay Dobhal secured 13,840 votes. Independent candidate Prakash Chand Ramola grabbed the third spot with 7,061 votes. The top three parties got 42.4%, 29.6% and 15.1% respectively.

In Uttarakhand Assembly election 2012, Uttarakhand Kranti Dal(P)'s Pritam Singh Panwar beat Indian National Congress's Kedar Singh Rawat by 2,596 votes.
