Shahid Kapoor joins iftar party

Actor joins his staff, driver and film crew for a party on the last day of the shoot of his next.

With Ramadan going on, festivity definitely seems to be in the air, and looks like Shahid Kapoor is in the mood to celebrate. Apparently, the actor joined the crew of his next release, Phata Poster Nikhla Hero (PPNH) for an iftar party on Monday, July 29.

A source close to the actor reveals, “This time around, while Shahid was shooting for his upcoming film PPNH, he joined the entire crew at the iftari on the last day of the shoot. Usually, each year Shahid attends an iftari with his staff members. One of Shahid’s employees, fondly called Maamu, and his driver are Muslims and they have been with him from the start of his career.”

It is also a known fact that the star is half-Muslim. Shahid’s mom is Muslim and so the tradition is a very special affair for the actor since childhood. The source adds, “This was his first iftari of 2013 and Shahid was extremely happy that everyone got together on the last day of the shoot.”
