HT goes window shopping with a CEO, a homemaker and a teenager in the cityentertainment Updated: Oct 22, 2011 21:34 IST
Sharik Currimbhoy, 31
Promoter Director Shahnaz Ayurveda International Ltd
Cosmetic queen Shahnaz Husain's grandson says shopping has shot up after marriage. "It was a Jimmy Choo clutch (Rs 30,000) last week." Currimbhoy, a tech-junkie, has a Louis Vuitton iPad 2 case (Rs 1 lakh) on the list. But walking around Emporio, he picks up a Cartier rollerball (Rs 40,000). "I've wanted this for a while," he grins and ticks it off his list.
Mini Bindra, 40
South Delhi-based homemaker
Bindra is known as the shopaholic among her neighbours. Her favourite haunts are Greater Kailash and South Extension markets. Bindra's list this year includes a pair of gold and ruby bangles and a Tommy Hilfiger watch (Rs 8,000) for her 19-year-old son. "I end up shopping more for him since it's his age to flaunt things now!" she laughs.
Siddhant Goel, 14
Class nine student of DPS RK Puram
Goel has a well-planned list this year for his parents who decided that his shopping budget must not exceed Rs 10,000: a Percy Jackson pentalogy (Rs 1300), a black blazer (Rs 5,000) and a pair of Reebok sneakers (Rs 2,500). "I'm really happy with this," the shy teenager says, waving the pentalogy while riding up the mall elevator in Noida.
