Star kids prep for stardom?

As star kids — some just a year old — go to play gyms and operate gadgets, we wonder if this is early prep for stardom.

Haven’t we all seen really young kids swipe a tablet even while they’re drooling all over it? Whether it’s early exposure to technology or just them emulating adults around them, there’s no denying that children are getting smarter. And when it comes to star kids — whose parents often have access to the fanciest gadgets and items of luxury — it’s hardly surprising that they take to these habits earlier than most.

Yet, the age at which they are doing so is quite baffling. Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao’s son, Azad (a year-and-eight-months old) has already taken a liking to exercise, though only at a play gym (meant for babies, and generally consisting of a mat, a canopy, inflatable rings and hanging toys). His parents have apparently installed a complete setup at home. And young Azad is believed to spend a considerable amount of time at the gym.

Aishwarya Rai-Abhishek Bachchan’s daughter Aaradhya (a year-and-nine-months old) is already quite tech-savvy. So don’t be stunned if you see her deftly handling an iPad without any assistance. Apparently, she can turn it on, search for the desired app, and even move on to the next game with ease. “...And I just marvel at this generation, because she works her own iPad,” Amitabh Bachchan told a news channel recently.

Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra’s son Viaan (one year and three months old) has already developed a love for wheels. He drives a fancy toy version of a sports car. It was a gift from his parents on his first birthday. In fact, Shilpa even tweeted a picture of her father and father-in-law assembling the car. Viaan has also made it to magazine covers, posing with his mom, and has been seen at some T20 matches. Too early to prepare for stardom? It would seem not.
