With her latest chic ensembles, while promoting her upcoming film, Pad Man, we find ourselves consistently envious of Sonam’s fantastic personal style. Here are her four swoon-worthy looks we are yearning to replicate for ourselves. Scroll through for pictures and details.

They say the only things you can count on in this life are death and taxes. But we’d like to offer another invariable: Sonam Kapoor killing it in the sartorial stakes. Ever since her early days in the spotlight, the actor has consistently pulled out the stops when stepping out, whether in sequined Atelier Zuhra, blush pink Elie Saab or slinky Prada.

Taking risks with her sartorial choices, actor Sonam Kapoor is wearing one memorable look after another: From a dramatic structured blue shirt by Georgian designer Gvantsa Janashia (centre) to a casual oversized Fear of God sweatshirt (left) and an Anamika Khanna dress (right).((Instagram/ Sonam Kapoor))

But her iconic style goes way beyond the silver screen and the red carpet. Even though picking our favourite Sonam outfit is tough, we adore the ensembles she’s been wearing for the promotions of her upcoming Akshay Kumar-starrer, Pad Man.

Taking risks with her sartorial choices, Sonam is wearing one memorable look after another: Whether she is uber glam in a dramatic Kojak Studio top or casually chic in an oversized Fear of God sweatshirt, Sonam is hitting just the right sartorial notes. Anamika Khanna, a designer Sonam loves to covet, also makes an appearance.

A well-toned body and long legs aside, Sonam’s got a true grasp of fashion, meaning she knows how to construct a polished ensemble from top to bottom, one that’ll flatter her figure but also appear sophisticated and effortless. See the proof, as we pay homage to Sonam’s most recent seriously on-point outings, which demonstrate her (and her stylist, sister Rhea Kapoor’s) knowledge of the latest catwalk trends:

On Thursday, Sonam kicked off Pad Man promotions in Mumbai wearing a structured blue shirt by Georgian designer Gvantsa Janashia. On mere mortals, this shirt — paired with dark culottes from Comme des Garcons, statement earrings and hair pin by Roma Narsinghani, chunky brown belt and matching ankle-strap pumps from Salvatore Ferragamo — might look OTT (over the top); but on Sonam, it worked. Not many people could pull of such a bold look. We applaud your bravery, Sonam.

On Friday, Sonam gave a massive twist to her basic ensemble — standout black Balenciaga pantaboots or ‘pants and boots piece’ or trousers with a built-in five inch heel, and grey oversized Fear of God sweatshirt — with her not-so-basic accessories: Mismatched earrings and a spiral hair bun pin by Roma Narsinghani. It was a bold move from Sonam, but we liked it because obviously, she nailed it like an absolute pro. To complement her high fashion street style ensemble, Sonam wore her hair in an edgy low bun. Totally a hairstyle we will be recycling this wedding season.

For a more bohemian look, Sonam switched into a maxi length with this printed Anamika Khanna number. Sonam isn’t afraid to get experimental with bold colours and busy prints, like on Friday, when she looked every inch a gypsy princess in this gorgeous flowing vintage-feel dress that featured long sleeves and was cinched at her waist. While the dress was stunning, albiet a little grandmother-ish, we have to say it was her chunky necklaces by Amrapali Jewels that truly stole the show. Sonam left her hair to fall past her shoulders in relaxed waves, adding to the fresh spring vibe. We love this look so much, we’d say it could be bridalwear. Do you see a breezy mehendi-look here?

Who said white blouse and black pants had to be boring? After looking ethereal in an eye-catching maxi dress, Sonam worked a monochrome look on Saturday. She was hard to miss in an extremely striking ivory blouse from Kojak Studio, which she tucked into a pair of skinny black YSL trousers. Armed with the knowledge that a pair of heels can totally make or break an outfit, Sonam played it safe by slipping on a pair of towering pumps by Gucci. She pulled her long hair into a casual ponytail to avoid going OTT (over the top), while showing off her Roma Narsinghani ear cap earrings perfectly.
