The H5D-50c sports a massive 50-megapixel image sensor and an equally large €20,900 price tag.
Initially teased at February's CP+ Camera and Photo Imaging Show in Japan, the H5D-50c takes imaging to a whole new level for anyone who until now has been working within the confines of 35mm film or a standard DSLR.
As well as an image sensor twice the size of anything found on most DSLR units, the H5D-50c offers ISO settings of up to 6400 and a capture rate of up to 1.5 frames per second or extended to up to 12 minutes per exposure. It can also shoot video, and offers 14 stops when it comes to high dynamic range.
However, what sets this particular Hasselblad apart from more recent cameras that the company has released is that it is the first medium format camera to feature a CMOS image sensor and as such could revolutionize the way that larger format professional photographers work.
