The girl, Janhavi Panwar, is a Class 12 student at a private school in Jhajjar. She has mastered 12 foreign accents by learning them on the internet since the age of nine. Kumar noticed her talent during the regional symposium of civil servants held at the Haryana Institute of Public Administration (HIPA) in Gurgaon on Friday. Kumar was attending the event as a motivational speaker, while Janhavi was invited there as an inspirational speaker.

After hearing Janhavi at the event, Kumar said he will be more than happy to be a teacher to “such a talented girl”.

“I accept her as my student without a test,” said Kumar, who was impressed with her fluency in British and American accents.

Super 30 is a training programme run by Anand Kumar in Patna. Under the programme, 30 talented students from economically backward section are selected every year and they are coached to clear the entrance exam for the Indian Institute of Technology. The students are admitted to the programme on the basis of an entrance test.

Janhavi said she is inspired by her father Brij Mohan Panwar, a primary school teacher.

The girl said she wants to get into civil services but will like to be trained under Kumar before that. She said she wished to become a Supreme Court judge but also wants to connect with the people.

“One of my teachers suggested that I become an IAS officer. But I want to train under Anand sir before that,” she said in a British accent.

Janhavi also speaks French, Japanese, English, Hindi and Haryanavi.

Impressed by Janhavi’s talent, chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar, who was the chief guest at the symposium, said even if he does not remember anything from the symposium, he will surely remember Janhavi’s speech.

Kumar, meanwhile, asked Khattar not to give him funds but instead provide space for training students. He said three children from a centre in Pataudi in Gurgaon district qualified for the IIT. Local educationist Sagar Jain had coordinated for the entrance tests for these children, he said.

“Jain is gaining in years now and there is no one to coordinate. For Haryana, there can be a statewide test at the divisional levels for entrance to Super 30. But government support is needed,” he said.
