Organised parking lots, well-maintained garden and two-tier security set-up — these are sure to figure on a homebuyer’s whislist while he forks out crores on his dream home in the city.
But seldom does he get these.
However, the residents of Carlton Estate-1 in DLF Phase-5 are a happy lot. Reason: Their builder has provided all these and more.
“Let us be frank and honest, the DLF has given us all the facilities. We feel fortunate as compared to other societies that are facing a lot of problems ranging from erratic power and water supply,” said Raj Khanna, a resident and a member of erstwhile managing committee of the condominium.
“We feel safe as the security is good in the society. Proper parking lots give a neat and tidy look to the complex. We need a community hall,” said SP Mahajan, a former member of the managing committee.
“We get sufficient water round the clock and we do not pay any extra besides the maintenance charge. The supply has always been regular. Water purifiers have been installed by the developer. It would be great if they install a water-softener too,” added Mahajan.
Lakshmi Narayan Sharma, another resident, said, “Electricity supply too is absolutely seamless. There are power cuts, but in no time the power back-up is activated.
We are able to use appliances even during power outages. When Gurgaon is reeling under power crisis we have uninterrupted supply.”
Expressing happiness over residents’ feedback, a DLF spokesperson said, “DLF is a responsible developer and always keeps a room for improvement.
We have also planned to chart out a blueprint to develop a mall, a hospital and schools within DLF City so that integrated development is achieved.”
However, the president and secretary of the condominium remained unavailable for comments.
