Farhan Akhtar, Amit Trivedi enthral Gurgaon with rock, folk music

Over 10,000 music lovers in Gurgaon were mesmerised by performances of Amit Trivedi and Farhan Akhtar at a live music concert held at Lesuire Valley Ground in Sector 29 on Saturday.
Trivedi, known for his soulful music, played some popular numbers such as ‘Chaudhari’, ‘Madari’, ‘Maanjha’ and ‘Shaandar’. Farhan Akhtar charmed the audience with Indian rock music and played popular tracks from his movie Rock On — ‘Socha Hain’, ‘Sindbad the Sailor’ and ‘Tum Ho Toh’. The two artistes made the enthralling evening a perfect mix of rock and folk music.
Residents of the city were thrilled about the live concert and said that they enjoyed the good music and the ambience. “We are thrilled by the performances of the artistes. Concerts like these bring happiness to people like us. We meet people and enjoy good music,” said Kashika Mehta, a resident of Sector 54.
Another city resident Mukul Sharma said he especially liked the lighting arrangement at the venue. “The most amazing thing about the concert was the lights that really brightened the winter night. Adding to the feel was the amazing music that filled the air.”
Speaking about his experience, music producer and singer Amit Trivedi said, “I love performing at live concerts as it gives me an opportunity to connect with my audience directly. I have always enjoyed collaborating with other musicians and creating something truly magical for a live audience.”
Farhan Akhtar said the performance was the most gratifying experience for him. “It was wonderful performing my favourite scores from Rock On movie. The crowd was extremely buoyant and enjoyed the numbers. It was the most gratifying experience for me so far. I look forward to perform again for the wonderful people of Delhi-NCR cities.”
