The Ghaziabad police on Sunday arrested three persons and brought back three minor girls. Police said the three men were booked in two different cases at Indirapuram police station and had lured the girls, following which abduction cases were lodged against them.

The officials said that in first case lodged for abduction of a minor girl, they arrested Mukim who is from Aligarh and also found the girl he had gone away with. In the second case, registered at Indirapuram, the police arrested Vikas Gupta, who is from Ghazipur in UP. They have also arrested Minku, who is from Bahraich in UP.

“The families had lodged cases of abduction against the three men. They maintain that the girls are minors. The girls will be produced before a magistrate to record their statements. So far, we have not come to know of any case of human trafficking,” said Akash Tomar, superintendent of police (city).

Officials also said that the girls refused to get a medical examination at the hospital after they were brought back.
