Haryana ADG law and order visited the Ryan international school, Bhondsi on Monday and he interacted with teachers on alleged security lapses in the premises. He also visited the toilet on the ground floor to check for possible security loopholes.

Haryana ADG Law and order Mohammed Akeel, Sandeep Khirwar, commissioner of police, DCP Simarjeet Singh and DCP Ashok Bakshi took a round of the crime spot and met the staff members and also the accused.

During the visit, the ADG found lapses in the safety and security management of the school and highlighted several issues that point to negligence on the school’s part.

“The school’s boundary wall was not appropriately built and needs to be constructed as per the guidelines. The grill and window panel were broken. The school should have got them fixed. It seemed there hasn’t been any repair work at the school for the last few years. We also checked the possibility of entrance from the broken window pane, but it was ruled out,” said DCP(South) Ashok Bakshi.

Akeel also urged parents to come forward and brief the police on any other lapses or negligence on the school’s part.

“He also met the accused and interrogated him. He narrated the sequence of events leading up to the incident,” Bakshi said.

Gurgaon police has restricted entry to the school site by installing barricades. Vehicular movement has been barred on the road leading to the school and people are only allowed to walk on it.

The situation was peaceful throughout the day and heavy police deployment was seen near the school and the village.
