To promote art and literature in the city, Gurgaon’s Literary and Art Club (GliterARTi) will on Tuesday organise an event where visitors can interact with writer Anurag Anand, whose latest book ‘Love On 3 Wheels’ is making waves. The event will be held at DLF Cyber Hub.
The programme will also be attended by activist and BJP leader Shazia Ilmi, anchor and sports expert Gautam Bhimani and TV actor Simple Kaul. They will hold discussions on art and literature.
Meenakshi Sharma, a member of GliterARTi, said the club hosts regular events in the city to bring people closer to books.
“All members of our club come together every three months to discuss literature and art. We conduct such events on a regular basis to connect people with books,” Sharma said.
More than 500 people are expected to take part in the activities on Tuesday.
“Literature festivals are mostly attended by people who are either already in the business of books or are planning to write a book. But we want young people to participate in such events and enjoy the experience. This will help us make the city culturally rich,” she said.
During the event on Tuesday, visitors can also participate in a session where prominent authors, publishers and experts will hold a discussion on literature and the art of writing.
The club, which started four years ago, is engaged in promoting the culture of book reading in the city. It also organises literature festival in the city.
Last year, it had invited chef Kunal Kapur to share his knowledge of food and spices with people.
