The police on Saturday busted a sex racket allegedly operating from a spa in Gold Souk mall in Sushant Lok-1 and arrested two men and four women from the spot.
The six persons were produced before a duty magistrate and sent to judicial custody. They were granted bail on Saturday.
According to the police, after several complaints, a search was conducted at the premises by a police team headed by the assistant commissioner of police Harender Singh and his team, which included women constables. The alleged sex racket was operating out of Balinese Spa on the second floor of the mall.
A policeman was sent as a decoy customer. He finalised a deal for Rs4,000, paid in advance to the manager.
“The policeman reached the room and after half an hour the police team followed and searched the cabins. The two men and four women were found in compromising positions,” said inspector Gaurav Phogat, station house officer (SHO), Sushant Lok police station.
The four women arrested are aged between 20 and 25 years and are Gurgaon residents. A case has been registered under sections 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 ad 9 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act.
Earlier on Thursday, the Gurgaon police had arrested 10 women and a man from three spas on MG Road for allegedly being involved in flesh trade. The searches at the MG Road malls had come after repeated incidents of drunken brawls and violence were reported from the area in the past few weeks.
Deepak Saharan, DCP east, said the drive will continue to put a stop to activities related to the flesh trade. “This is an ongoing effort to rid the area of such activities,” he said.
