Gurgaon police recovers 7 guns, 9000 cartridges

In a major breakthrough Gurgaon police has recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition after questioning the prime accused in the fake arms licence case. He was arrested from Mohali airport a few days ago.
Accused Manish Bhardwaj, who hails from Gurgaon village, told the police about the weapons stock after sustained questioning by the special investigation team.
The police team at his instance recovered three pistols, two revolvers, an imported rifle, seven magazines and around 9,000 cartridges of different bores.
The police also said more persons involved in the fake licence racket will be arrested soon. The special investigation team in-charge, inspector Suresh, said the arms and ammunition were recovered from the room Manish’s domestic help, who lives in a rented room in Gurgaon village.

Prior to this, the Gurgaon police had recovered seven weapons, and 5,000 cartridges from the house of Manish Bhardwaj, when it was searched by the SIT.
Kumar also said another accomplice of Manish’s, who has been identified as Sunny, was also arrested by the police. He was a close confidante of the prime accused and was the one who helped get new customers for the gang.
