Gurugram has many things going for it as a city – a BPO culture driven by MNCs, high-rise residential complexes, and leisure hubs and cultural spaces. However, crimes such as thieving and snatching have endangered Gurugram residents and their properties.

Here’s a look:

POLICE TO CIVILIAN RATIO
VEHICLE THEFT
Hide cell phone, with a week-long battery life, under the bike seat
Check the phone before leaving vehicle unattended
Install a loud car alarm, use steering and gear locks
Paint the registration number on the sides of the vehicle to prevent gangs from changing the number plate
SNATCHING
Be alert while walking on desolate stretches
Do not wear flashy jewellery
Do not engage in conversation with unknown people
