A video, that surfaced online on Saturday night, allegedly showed the Gurgaon police conducting a breath analyser test thrice on popular Haryanavi rapper Fazilpuria. In the video, Fazilpuria is seen arguing with the cops and insisting on a fourth test.
Fazilpuria, who shot to fame with the ‘chull’ song in the film Kapoor and Sons, had allegedly created a ruckus on MG Road on Saturday night after Gurgaon traffic police caught him for “drink driving”.
In the video, Fazilpuria is seen arguing with the cops. “I have put perfume and perfume has alcohol. Even coffee has alcohol. Why can’t you do the test again,” Fazilpuria is seen telling the police.
The video also shows the rapper’s friend giving his licence to the police, while it was the singer who was driving the car. “I know I am not drunk. I will pay the fine and even go to the police station if it’s proved otherwise. Take my blood test,” the rapper keeps saying.
Fazilpuria, who lives in Gurgaon, was driving a white Mercedes Benz with a temporary licence, the police said. The car has been seized.
Sector 29 police station SHO, inspector Vikas Kaushik said that Yadav was stopped during a routine checking at around 1.30am. The singer started arguing that he wasn’t drunk and the police conducted the breath analyser test thrice, on the insistence of the rapper.
“It was evident that he had enough of drink. All the three times, the test confirmed that he was drunk. When the police asked for his licence, he showed them a year-old ‘challan’,” the SHO said.
Kaushik said that even the “year-old challan had not been paid”. When asked about it, Fazilpuria started “arguing loudly”.
The police then seized his car and issued him another challan.
Fazilpuria said that he, along with two others, had gone to Cyber Hub for dinner. “I was chewing pan when the traffic police stopped our car,” he said.
He said that as soon as he stopped the car, a constable “aggressively snatched the car keys and talked arrogantly”.
“The cops said that I had tested positive for alcohol. But I knew I was not drunk, so I first gargled with water and asked them to perform the test again,” Fazilpuria said. He claimed the cops then impounded the car and gave him a challan, he said.
“I even asked them to conduct a medical test. I went to nearby hospitals for the same, but the doctors refused to do the test without being asked by the police,” he rued.
