Gurgaon: Woman executive accuses boss of rape, unnatural sex
The woman, a human resource manager, said in her complaint that the accused asked her to have lunch with him within a week after she joined the company based in Sohna Road in May last year and kept harassing her.
A woman employee of a company in Haryana’s Gurgaon has accused her boss of repeatedly raping her, forcing her to engage in unnatural sex, and threatening to make “her life hell” after she refused to give in to his demands, police said on Tuesday.
The woman said in her complaint that the accused asked her to have lunch with him within a week after she joined the company based in Sohna Road in May last year and kept harassing her.
“During the lunch, he used vulgar language and touched me inappropriately. I resisted his advances. The very next day he started to harass me at work and held me back in the office till late hours,” the woman told the police.
Her boss, she said, told her in June about an official dinner with clients to discuss business at a Mehrauli hotel and asked her to be there. She reached there and found no one except her boss, who then invited her to dinner.
“After the dinner, he insisted on dropping me home in his car. As I sat on the front seat beside him, he sprayed something on my face and I became unconscious,” the woman said.
‘On regaining my senses, I found myself in a room and realised that I had been raped. The accused had also engaged in unnatural sex with me,” she added.
The woman claimed the accused warned her against reporting the abuse, saying he had shot a video of the act. She also said the man claimed his wife was an Indian Police Service officer.
He started blackmailing her after the incident and took her to Amritsar, Kullu, Manali and Jaipur, where he forced himself on her and engaged in unnatural sex.
The woman said she approached the police after the accused not only raped her but also violently abused her on February 9 and pleaded the police to take action against the man.
“The case has been registered after the complaint was lodged by the victim. Now, the facts are being verified and based on that further action would be taken,” the spokesperson of Gurgaon Police, Ravinder Kumar, said.
The accused has been charged with taking advantage of his official position to rape her, for unnatural offences under section 377, causing hurt by means of poison or intoxicant with the intent to commit an offence and criminal intimidation.
