A 30-year-old man who was admitted in a city-based hospital with a two-inch-long nail pierced in his brain got a new lease of life.
Kamlesh Sharma is now recuperating from his injuries after undergoing a three-and-a-half-hour surgery conducted by a team of three doctors at the Samvit Hospital.
According to the attending doctors, Sharma, a factory worker, can resume his duty in the next couple of days.
Sharma was rushed to a hospital on Sohna Road on Sunday, when a nail accidentally entered his brain, damaging the sinus.
The hospital immediately referred him to Samvit Hospital, where the surgery was conducted by Dr Suresh Vasistha, Dr Deepak Kumar and Dr NK Sharma.
“The case was really complicated. The nail had disrupted the sinus and caused severe bleeding,” said Dr Suresh Vasistha, director and chief laparoscopic surgeon, Samvit Hospital.
