Three killed in different road accidents on Gurgaon outskirts

Three persons, including a woman, were killed in separate accidents on the outskirts of Gurgaon. Two of them happened near National Highway-8 in Manesar while the third one took place in Farrukhnagar. All three accidents were a result of speeding and rash driving, the police said.
In the first incident, one person was killed when a speeding mini-truck driven by one Rajul Kumar met with an accident near Balram hotel on the NH-8 in Manesar. The victim, Mohd Yusuf, was critically injured and he succumbed to injuries later. A complaint in this regard was made by one Shan Babu on the basis of which a case was registered against the accused under sections 279, 304A of the IPC at Manesar police station.
Police said Rajul Kumar was driving and rashly and that caused the accident. He has been arrested.
In another incident, a 50-year-old woman was killed when a rashly driven truck hit her scooter near New Colony Morh. The victim, Bimla, was on her way home when the incident happened around 12.40pm. “The truck driver was speeding and he hit the scooter from behind. He abandoned the vehicle fled the spot,” Mukesh Kumar, a relative of the victim, said.
The police said a case under sections 279, 304A of the IPC has been registered and the matter is being investigated. The truck, with a Rajasthan registration number, has been seized by the police.
In the third accident, an unidentified man was killed in Sector 3, Manesar, after being hit by a speeding vehicle. The deceased is around 50 years of age and he was grievously injured. A case has been registered on the complaint of one Imran at IMT Manesar police station under sections 279, 304A of the IPC.
Speeding, driving on the wrong side and jay walking have been the major reasons for road mishaps in Gurgaon, a detailed analysis of data collated by Gurgaon police shows.
Apart from that, the police have also identified a number of dark spots on the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway and the National Highway-8 where maximum road accidents with fatalities take place.
