Students who had to take their CBSE class 12 mathematics exam on Monday, were anxious in the morning on account of the uncertainty caused by the Jat agitation. Parents were worried about the safety of their wards, adding to the exam pressure. Many parents accompanied the children to the exam centre.
Earlier, the CBSE had released an advisory stating that parents and students had to take necessary measures to reach the examination centres well before the scheduled time.
“To avoid any issues, we had sent a directive to our students appearing for the Class 12 board exams to leave for the examination centre well in advance. Also, we had kept the school closed today for students to avoid any inconvenience or untoward incident,” said Meenakshi Singh, Director, DPS Sushant Lok.
“Our parents were already cautious and ensured that the students reached the examination centre well on time”, said Dr Anshu Arora, principal of Amity International, Sector 43.
“I was worried about the Mathematics paper. Performing well in every paper is crucial to maintaining a good percentage. The news of Jat agitation added to my anxiety. Even though it was called off at the last moment, uncertainty loomed large,” said Ishita Yadav a student.
